The Apple AirTag Hermès Is The Perfect Exemplar Of Cutting-Edge Technology & Artisanship

Apple AirTag Hermès – four smart objects to keep track of your everyday essentials using Apple's Find My app.  A key ring, bag charm, luggage tag, and address tag – innovative acccessories that are as practical as they are elegant.

Apple’s product launch events are always big news for tech aficionados, but April’s “Spring Loaded” showcase proffered sleek new gadget accessories for fashion fans, too. The smartphone giant’s long-rumoured AirTags, Bluetooth tracking devices designed to help users find physical objects through its Find My app, come with four chic leather cases designed by Hermès.

The exquisite leather key ring, bag charm, luggage and travel tags to attach to your most precious objects – think: your Hermès Kelly or Birkin bag – are inspired by the brand’s horse-racing token holders dating back to the early 20th-century. Available in Barénia calfskin or Swift calfskin, Hermès acolytes can double up on the maison’s iconography by buying AirTag trackers engraved with the Clou de Selle logo, which are available exclusively through Hermès.

The marriage of Hermès’s first-class savoir-faire and Apple’s advanced technology does not stop there this spring. A range of new sporty “jumping” bands for the Apple Watch Hermès, inspired by show jumping and available in five colourways each comprising a saddle-esque buckle, was also announced during the Apple Park press conference. An artisanal Hermès case in Barénia calfskin with MagSafe for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro equally demonstrated the house’s commitment to innovation, and its awareness of the fruits of fusing craft and computers.

Hermès loyalists who have long protected their iPhones with the chicest cases on the market will know that the Apple-Hermès partnership dates back to 2015. But the new AirTag tracker accessories – perfect tiny exemplars of cutting-edge technology and high-quality artisanship – are the most progressive product to come out of the collaboration to date. Available to order online from 23 April 2021, and available for sale from 30 April, prepare to lose your keys in style this spring.
