Nokia X2 Will Dual-boot Windows Phone & Android And Have Google Play Services

Setelah tersebar bocoran benchmark di AnTuTu, perangkat terbaru penerus generasi Nokia X yang disebut-sebut sebagai Nokia X2 dikabarkan akan didukung dengan fitur dual boot menggunakan android dan windows phone milik induknya Microsoft. Bahkan tersiar akan didukung juga dengan Google Play Service tidak seperti pendahulunya Nokia X, Nokia XL dan Nokia X+.

Dari benchmark yang beredar meneyebutkan kalau Nokia X2 akan mengusung prosesor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, 1.2 GHz, RAM 1 GB, memori internal 4 GB, layar 4.3 inchi WVGA dan kamera 5 MP. Yang jelas spesifikasi tersebut di atas generasi Nokia X sebelumnya.

Nokia X meupakan salah satu smartphone pertama android dari Nokia yang laris manis peredarannya meskipun saat ini Nokia sudah berada di bawah kendali Microsoft yang juga memiliki OS sendiri Windows Phone.

Official File Manager App Coming to Windows Phone 8.1

Salah satu aplikasi yang sangat diharapkan kehadirannya di Windows Phone 8.1 adalah File Manager yang bagus, saat ini beberapa pengembang berusaha membuat aplikasi 3rd party tetapi Microsoft sebagai pemilik Windows Phone mengumumkan ketersediaan aplikasi File Manager ini dalam waktu dekat.

Microsoft mengumumkan aplikasi File Manager ini di Reddit, meskipun masih belum banyak yang terungkap tentang File Manager ini tetapi dari 6 screenshot yang dirilis bisa dilihat apa yang akan ada di aplikasi tersebut seperti memindahkan file, membuat folder, pencarian file dan lainnya.

Nokia Introduces Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 930 Smartphones for Windows Phone 8.1

Seperti yang pernah diposting sebelumnya, akhirnya Nokia merilis 3 buah tipe baru Nokia Lumia dengan operating system Windows Phone 8.1 di acara Microsoft’s Build Developer Conference 2014. Ketiga Nokia lumia tersebut antara lain Nokia Lumia 630 (first dual-sim) dan Nokia Lumia 635 (teknologi 4G) yang memiliki segmen menengah ke bawah serta Nokia Lumia 930 untuk kalangan high-end dengan fitur dan hardware yang lebih tinggi.

Nokia Lumia 630 dan 635 sebenarnya memiliki spesifikasi yang sama dengan prosesor quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 dari Qualcomm, RAM 512MB, memori internal 8GB  plus microSD dan kamera 5 megapiksel. Harga untuk Nokia Lumia 630 dijual 159 dolar AS sedangkan Nokia Lumia 635 dijual 189 dolar AS.

Nokia Lumia 930 ada tambahan fitur lebih lengkap, termasuk layar 5 inci Full HD beresolusi 1920x1080 serta sudah support teknologi LTE.  Nokia Lumi a930 menggunakan  20-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics fan 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800. Untuk harga Nokia Lumia 930 lebih tinggi sekitar 599 dolar AS.

Nokia Lumia 630 and Nokia Lumia 635

The Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 set new standards for affordable smartphones with quad core processing and uncompromised experiences from Microsoft and Nokia. The Lumia 630 comes in two options, the first is the most affordable Lumia to date with 3G single-SIM and there’s also the first dual SIM Lumia. The speedy Lumia 635 is the best value 4G/LTE Lumia to date.

The Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 sport a vivacious design with changeable covers. The Lumia 635 distinguishes itself by a high-gloss finish and a unique dual-layered, glowing surround. Whilst, both single and dual-SIM Lumia 630 come with a new matt finish and a dazzling choice of colours including bright orange, bright green and bright yellow.

The quad-core Snapdragon processor provides a faster social experience with Word Flow and social apps, such as WhatsApp and WeChat.

The Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 introduce the innovative new ‘SensorCore’, which provides low-power motion sensing with Bing Health and Fitness to help people track their lives – a new SensorCore SDK is also being piloted with select partners ahead of a public release.

The Nokia Lumia 630 is expected to rollout in May, beginning with Asia, Russia, China, India and Europe, from $159 for the single-sim variant, and $169 for the dual-sim variant before subsidies and taxes.

The Nokia Lumia 635 will be broadly available, including in the US starting in this summer from $189 before subsidies and taxes.

Layanan Skype saat ini tersedia di beberapa platform mobile (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire HD dan BlackBerry) dan versi komputer (Mac, Windows dan Linux). As part of Build, we also announced improvements to make your Windows 8.1 experience more accessible and familiar. Skype for Windows Modern is built for touch devices, but we know that many users use 2-in-1 devices and often work in the desktop mode, switching between modern and desktop apps. We wanted to make that easier. So now your built-in Skype app can be pinned to the taskbar and accessible either on your start screen or on the desktop. The Windows 8.1 update is free to Windows 8 and Windows RT users, and the latest version of Skype will come with it. To pin Skype to the taskbar, hold down or right click on the Skype tile and select Pin to Taskbar.

We will continue to deliver the best experience possible by providing regular updates to Skype over time. We received valuable feedback since the launch of both Skype for Windows Phone 8 and Skype for Windows 8.1 and we will continue to listen as we launch future versions.

Nokia 3310 Gets 41-Megapixel PureView Camera & Windows Phone Makeover on April Fools' Day

Tanggal 1 April banyak kejutan April Mop atau April Fools termasuk salah satunya dari Nokia, salah satu produsen handphone legendaris yang sekarang dimiliki Microsoft. April Mop dari Nokia datang dari sebuah kicauan dari Twitter official Nokia yang menyebutkan tentang kelahiran kembali ponsel sejuta umat Nokia 3310 yang dilengkapi dengan kamera PureView 41 mega pixel dan sistem operasi Windows Phone.

Masih ingat dengan ponsel sejuta umat 3310 kan? tampilan sederhana layar hitam putih dengan keypad di bagian bawah, di Nokia 3310 versi baru terlihat tampilan klasik 3310 lama dengan layar berwarna dan tampilan grafis Windows Phone tanpa keypad fisik tapi berubah jadi touch screen. Untuk warna casing ponsel Nokia 3310 versi baru ini juga mengadopsi warna-warni ponsel Nokia Lumia. Untuk gmae klasik Snake 2 dan Space Impact masih ditemukan di ponsel 3310 baru ini.

Sayangnya berita di Twitter Nokia dan postingan di webnya hanya sebuah April Mop belaka... seandainya itu terwujud akan menjadikan kenangan baru dan nostalgia bagi para pemilik lama Nokia 3310.

NOKIA 3310 GETS 41-MEGAPIXEL, WINDOWS PHONE MAKEOVER

Heritage, much-loved and foolproof handset brought back from the ashes with powerful PureView imaging capabilities.

Initially released in the year 2000, the Nokia 3310 went on to be one of the most successful mobile phones ever. More than 125 million were sold and, thanks to a small group of Nokia fanatics, this cult handset is making a modern-day comeback. 

Staying near-true to the original design, the Nokia 3310 with PureView will add a 41MP PureView camera with Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, and will run a modified version of Windows Phone 8 to fit the unique ‘ClearDiamond’ three-inch touch screen. 

As well as the classic metallic dark blue, the Nokia 3310 with PureView will also come in yellow, blue, red and green. 

Three ‘soft-touch’ navigation keys still feature a Windows Phone ‘home’ button has been introduced to you straight back to the Start Screen. 

LiveTiles and App Folders are supported and it comes pre-installed with MS Office, Xbox Games, Outlook and OneDrive that offers 7GB free cloud storage out of the box. 

Juha Alakarhu, Nokia head of Imaging Technologies, said: 
“I’m really excited that we’ve found a way to marry our innovative PureView technology with such a beloved device. With its durable design and iconic look, we think even more people will enjoy our signature PureView magic ” 

To power the next-gen operating system and class-leading camera, Nokia engineers have achieved the unthinkable, scaling down a dual-core processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage into a case that mimics the original size (113 x 48 x 22mm) and weight (133g). 

A side-mounted MicroSD card slot offers additional storage expansion. The first devices will rollout with 3G connectivity while LTE-equipped devices will follow later in the year. 

With a nostalgic nod to yesteryear, the Nokia 3310 with PureView comes pre-loaded with four games – Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact and Bantumi -, a currency converter and original monophonic ringtones. 

Norman Gage, who has been campaigning for the return of the Nokia 3310 since its discontinuation, said: 
“It’s an historic day. For five years, we’ve worked hard to make our voice heard and now our dreams are about to become reality. Personally, I’d have preferred to keep the five-line, monochrome screen, six ringing-tone volume levels and original message templates, but you can’t win them all!”
