Today 19th May 2014 Google is celebrating one of the greatest toy inventions ever. The Rubik’s Cube invention was invented in 1974 by Erno Rubik. Erno Rubik was a Hungarian inventor, architect and professor of architecture.
Erno Rubik was best known for the invention of mechanical puzzles including the Rubik’s Cube Invention, the Rubik’s Magic 3-D combination puzzle, Rubik’s Magic: Master Edition and the Rubik’s Snake. However none of these became so popular as the ordinary Rubik’s cube invention that entertained and fascinated a whole generation.
Today’s Rubik’s Cube invention is a playable game on the Google homepage and is an exact replica of the Rubik’s Cube Invention except that you can play it virtually on your computer. In the past Google have been accused of creating some time wasters, like the Pac-Man game they had on the 21st of May 2010 some news sites reported that the game cost the world 4.82 million of productive economic hours which were wasted on people playing the game.
I think that if the Rubik’s Cube invention is going to be measured similarly the Rubik’s Cube Invention game is going to win hands down. The game is a bit tougher to play and you have to order all the same colors of blocks together which might take far longer to do than to play the Pac-Man game, nonetheless I am thrilled that Google have once again upped the level of entertainment and insight their doodles bring!
If you remember the Rubik’s Cube Invention and if it’s from your era you will not be able to resist the Rubik’s Cube Invention and if you are like me you will not give up on playing the game until you have at least once completed the online version!
How to play the Rubik’s Cube Invention Google Doodle
The aim of the game for those who don’t know is to have all the blocks on the Rubik Cube have the same 9 colors on all the sides of the Rubik Cube, you do this by moving the colors one at a time either up or down, left or right until you have all the colors the same. (Source)
